Product overview
Where is it used?
- It can be used internally on all wood fibre and wood wool substrates and is used in conjunction with UdiREINFORCEMENT mesh to provide a robust reinforced plaster layer.
- It can also be used internally on concrete, masonry, lime and lime/cement plasters so long as they are sound and able to take another plaster layer.
How is it used?
- UdiMULTIGRUND vapour control plaster is best mixed clean tap water, using a plaster whisk to a smooth lump free consistency.
- It’s ‘sticky’ nature means it is very easy to apply to a whole range of backgrounds.
- It should be applied with a clean steel trowel and the whole surface ‘combed’ with a 20mm round knotched trowel whilst it is still wet, aiming for a minimum 5mm layer.
- UdiREINFORCEMENT mesh should then be trowelled in to the surface (overlapping each piece by 100mm) and covered by the UdiMULTIGRUND so that it is no longer visible.
- Allow a drying period of 1mm per day before applying subsequent finishes.
- As with all lime based materials, it should only be used when temperatures are above 5 degrees Celsius and away from strong, drying winds and direct sunlight.
- For full instructions please read the data sheet.
How much will you need?
UdiMULTIGRUND has a density of 1.5kg per mm per m² (1mm thickness of plaster over 1m²). Each 25kg bag will cover up to 4.2m² at 4mm thickness.
