How is it used?
- A 6mm layer of Baumit StarContact render is applied to the surface as an adhesive layer, using a notched trowel.
- The boards are cut to size using a circular saw or jigsaw and then pressed into the adhesive layer with a light, circular motion.
- After a drying time of around a day the surface of the boards can be plastered with a further 6mm layer of Baumit StarContact render, incorporating the strengthening mesh and left to dry.
- The Baumit StarContact can be used as a slightly grainy finish or other non-gypsum finishes (such as lime or clay) can be applied, such as Baumit Klima Glatt or Baumit RK70N plaster.
How much will you need?
The UdiIN 2CM boards are 1150 x 750mm and 23mm thick, they cover an area of 0.8625 m² per board. Allow at least 5% for wastage.

How to install wood fibre insulation boards
This video shows the basics of how the adhesive lime plaster is applied and how easily the boards are applied to the wall. The whole process is rather like tiling really.
Once the boards are bonded and the adhesive plaster has set, the boards can be finished with a thin layer plaster coat, incorporating the reinforcing mesh, and then skimmed with a lime finish coat.
