Product overview
Where is it used?
- Baumit NanoporTop can be used as a finish coat render on all main wall areas.
- It can be applied on to old and new mineral renders (lime and cement renders), organic base coat renders in the Baumit range and on to EWI systems.
How is it used?
- Baumit NanoporTop should be gently whisked in it’s tub prior to use to ensure a homogeneous consistency. Up to 1% water can be added to improve workability.
- Surfaces should be clean, dry, free from dust and suitably cured. All surfaces should be primed with Baumit Premium primer prior to application.
- The Baumit NanoporTop is applied with a stainless steel trowel and troweled back to the grit thickness.
- The surface is then finished with a PVC float using small circular motions.
- For the best finish apply and finish each panel continuously, without breaks.
- It is best to use the same person to finish the whole of each panel to avoid differences in texture mid way.
How much will you need?
- Baumit NanoporTop has a density of 1.8kg per mm per m² (1mm thickness of plaster over 1m²). Each 25kg tub of Baumit NanoporTop 1.5mm will cover up to 10m², the 2mm will cover up to 8m² and the 3mm will cover up to 6m².
- For first time users we recommend removing 1m² from these coverage rates as the rates improve with familiarity.

- Setting times vary with temperature and humidity but in the summer the product will usually be dry enough to resist a shower in a 4-6 hours and sets hard over the next few weeks.
- In winter the initial drying to resist showers may be extended to more than one day so the finished surface must be protected from dust and rain.
- Only apply Baumit NanoporTop in temperatures above 8°C.
