Multipor FIX X710 lightweight adhesive mortar/plaster
Multipor FIX X710 is:-
- a lightweight, vapour permeable adhesive for the Multipor insulation system.
- used as a plaster layer, along with fibreglass mesh, over the Multipor boards.
- suitable for internal and external application.
- Suitable for below ground use inside tanking membranes.
Product overview
Where is it used?
- Multipor FIX X710 is applied to the back of the Multipor boards to bond them to the wall surface.
- It can be used internally or externally on walls, plinth areas and ceilings.
- As a plaster coat, it can also be used internally or externally and reinforced with a fibreglass mesh, such as Baumit StarTex mesh.
How is it used?
- The back of the boards should be fully coated with the FIX X710 and combed with a 10-12mm knotched trowel, to ensure an even thickness. All ridges must be full to get an even thickness coat.
- The boards are then applied to the wall around 5mm away from adjacent boards.
- Once in position, slide the board 5mm up to the adjacent board in a direction perpendicular to the direction of combing. This ensures that you create a fully filled layer behind the boards, with no voids present.
- As a plaster layer, apply to the surface of the Multipor boards and comb with a 10-12mm knotched trowel to ensure an even thickness.
- Whilst wet, lay in a layer of the Baumit StarTex mesh and trowel so that the mesh is covered by around 1mm of the FIX X710 plaster.
- Leave to dry for 4-5 days before applying the Baumit RK 70N lime plaster finish coat or Baumit Klima Glatte lime finish coat for a finer finish.
How much will you need?
- Each 20kg bag will cover up to 5.5m2 at 5mm.
- You will need to use a 5mm coat as the adhesive layer and also as the base coat plaster layer.
