The new Fibres Academy

Our free online training website Fibres is getting an update! Initially a proof-of-concept and hub for designers and installers using wood fibre insulation, Fibres was created in 2019 to allow anyone, regardless of skill level, fully understand wood fibre insulation.

Since launch, over 600 people have completed various courses on the site, demonstrating its value as an online resource for understanding the many uses of this sustainable insulation product. Now, we are excited to introduce you to the NEW Fibres Academy.

What’s new?

We’re updating the content with lots more graphics and animations to show how different roof, wall and floor sections are built up and to show how airtightness is achieved. We’re also adding more specific content for certain systems so that you can really dive into how to design and install them.

Here is a little taste of what you can expect at Fibres Academy:-

In addition to this, we’re creating a national database for anyone who completes our courses. Successful participants, both architects and installers, will be able to highlight the areas in which they have gained knowledge and the geographical areas in which they work. The database will then be searchable by anyone looking to employ architects or installers for their wood fibre insulation projects, opening up exciting opportunities for all.
